In the peaceful Aconcagua Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking nature, a group of people passionate about communications and the magic of radio waves came together to form the «Juncal Diexistas Group.» In October 2021, Rafael CA2YWW, Miguel CE2PM, and Cristian CE2GT gave birth to this community, united by a fascination with exploring the world through radio waves.
Waves and friendship
The spirit of the Juncal DXers Group lies in fun, experimentation, and passionate participation in the world of amateur radio. With each communication, they explore and celebrate the magic of HF, carrying with them the pride of their valley and the camaraderie that unites them on this exciting journey of waves and friendship.
The beginning of an exciting journey
Their first foray was into Juncal Andean Park (POTA), marking the beginning of an exciting journey. Over the years, the group has been involved in various HF activities, most notably the Guinness World Record hunt for Diego LU9MZO. They have also participated in several renowned competitions, including WPX, ARRL Dx, WAE, CQ WW, ARRL 10, and IARU, among others, taking the excitement and competition to new heights.
Meeting new people
Over time, the group has grown, attracting more friends from Aconcagua who share the same passion for high-frequency communications and DX. They have diversified their activities by venturing into exciting train station activations, where the youngest participant in Chilean amateur radio stands out: Juan Moisés CE2GJM, son of another DX member of the group.
What comes next?
Together, these passionate DXers have formed a close-knit and diverse team, enriching every HF experience with their spirit of camaraderie, dedication, and love of amateur radio.
